Overview

Baryonyx is a medium-sized theropod dinosaur native to Cretaceous Europe. It possesses a pair of powerful, massively-built claws and crocodile-like jaws, which allow it to snag fish from lakes and streams.

In PaleoCraft, Baryonyx possesses green stripes and red protofeathers on its neck and head. Like many predators, it can be territorial at times, so it's a good idea to keep your distance. Fortunately, it's a fairly noisy creature, so you can easily avoid it by listening for its croaking calls.

Environment

Baryonyx is usually found around bodies of fresh water, so it can be found in swamp and river biomes. A good pen should have a body of water for fishing and swimming, as well as plenty of cover in case its inhabitant wishes to avoid being seen.

Food

Baryonyx feeds on fish and small animals, and so poses little threat to creatures its own size. There's no reason you can't keep your Baryonyx with some medium-sized herbivores, but be aware that some herbivores might attack it if they feel threatened.
